3.1 How do I forward my files to you and how do I receive back the finished work from you?

There are two options for forwarding and receiving of files for you – shipping and internet.

Shipping of files is most suitable in case of high volume of files. A transportable hard drive is a best way to get files back and forth. We also have hard drives available on hire.

Alternatively, smaller files can be transferred using Internet. We are provided with files with TIFF format with most of our customers. Once the work is finished, they then download OCR and other coding from SFTP server.

3.2 What is SFTP server? Can’t I use simple old FTP?

SFTP stands for Secure File Transfer Protocol. Using FTP for transferring of file does not guarantee data security. There are always chances for interruption or “bugging” in this type transfer. But in case of SFTP, your data is transferred in encrypted form. This guarantees security of your data from leaking.

Other than SFTP, we also have our own devoted server which can be only accessed by us or our client.
